ABOUT AFTER HOURS
Established in October 2009, we created After Hours with one goal in mind; to become one of Silvermoon and Europe's premier late night raiding guilds and so far we’ve been pretty successful. We value the collective game in all of its perspectives without ever losing track of our main PvE raiding goals.
Our average age is 25 years old so this is a guild with mature players and that is how we’d like to keep it. This is an important issue you should consider when joining or even applying here. Because we will look in to it for sure.
As a collective, we offer you the chance to raid the hard content of this game with good, friendly players but with a strange sense of humour sometimes.
We have a mature and serious attitude towards raiding and we expect the same from anyone that joins us.
We don’t measure our players by the number of hours they are online although it’s important too of course but we understand real life issues come first. However we do mean we are serious when it comes to raiding.
This is what we expect from you:
RAID SCHEDULE
We raid for 4 nights per week. We believe with the proper preparation and focus we can achieve progression without burn out.
We Raid : Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday and Monday -> from 11pm to 2am (GMT +1)
THE COUNCIL
Reigoto (GM), Amagaad, Bilanx, Merujo and Fleshgordon
GUILD RULES
LANGUAGE / BEHAVIOUR
Remember you are representing After Hours in everything you do and your actions will reflect upon the guilds image. You will be held responsible for any behaviour that negatively affects After Hours reputation and image and will be dealt with quickly and severely by the council.
Be respectful to each other. We all enjoy a good laugh and banter, but any slurs on someone's race, gender, sexuality, political views, ethnicty, etc that are deemed overly untoward or aggressive will be treated with appropriate action.
Relax. This is a game after all. We all play to have fun and get away from everyday pressures. We value good players and people that play their class well, but even the best of us have off days from time-to-time. Mistakes will happen, so we just dust ourselves down, have a laugh and learn from it.
Chat topics are at the members choice and everthing is acceptable exept harsh language directed at other players, constant boasting which may make players feel bad, and anything else which is against the spirit of the guild. Please use your common sense with this and for those of you lacking in common sense follow this simple rule: 'If you are unsure, DONT SAY IT!'
Bad/disrespectful language or spamming in any public or intra-guild channels is strictly forbidden.
Try to resolve any disputes in a mature manner, in whispers or privately on Mumble. If you are unable to do that by yourself - bring it to an Officer's attention before you take it into Guild chat.
Intentional bullying or 'griefing' of ANY player, will result in you being removed from the Guild.
ATTENDANCE
We take attendance extremely seriously. We raid a very limited schedule of 9hrs per week and don't feel like it is too much to ask people for 100% attendance. Obviously things come up in real life, but without good reason for non-attendance you may be excluded from further raiding.
We expect you to decline and leave a note on the raid manager if you are unable to attend a raid. With today's access to smart phones and almost limitless internet, there is simply no reason why you should be unable to inform us of any absence in advance. We expect you to post! Any member who fails to attend a raid without any warning will incur a dkp penalty which will affect your priority for loot in future raids.
It is the single most important factor for successful raiding. No Raiders = No Raid. Members are aware of the raid schedule when they are recruited and it is for this reason why you are expected to maintain 100% raid attendance. Anyone who continually fails to warn us of abscences will be removed from the raid team and we will recruit to fill your spot.
You have been warned.
Before the raid starts
All members should be online and ready to start raiding at least 10.45pm and be prepared to stay in the raid until 2am or when the raid is called by the council, which ever comes first. We assume that all raiders will have aquired any reagents, flasks/potions and repaired prior to the raid start. The first pull of the night should be at 11pm not entering the instance.
What happens if there are more members online than can fit in the raid group?
There may be times when there are too many members to attend a raid , so you will need to be prepared for the situation that you may be benched even though you have accepted an invite. If you are benched, you are free to log an alt or logoff altogether aslong as you are reachable on Mumble as swaps may be made. You will receive any dkp awarded during the raid as long as your toon remains in the group.
LOOT
After Hours uses the 'After Hours Loot System' for determining loot distribution during scheduled raids, you can view our Loot Distribution Policy.
The following guidelines should be followed when distributing loot in non-scheduled Guild raids or PUGs.
Priority should be given in the following order - Main Spec > Off Spec > Greed
The recipient should be determined by each 'needing' member of the raid or group using /roll 1-100. The item will be awared to the player with the highest roll.
Any reports of members abusing their position as Master Looter in a raid/group will be dealt with severely. The incident will be investigated and if found to be true, the members involved will be removed from the Guild.
ADD-ONS
Successful raiding requires the best performance of all members of the group. Knowledge of the encounter is key and any extra tools that can be used to provide information on what is happening can be the difference between a kill and a wipe.
We expect you to use at least the following add-ons;
Boss Mods (DBM, DXE or BigWigs)
These add-ons provide detailed information about events ocurring during boss fights. This information can save lives and significantly enhance player performance.
Threat Meter (Omen or Skada)
Threat meters provide a visual representation of the amount of threat raid members have gained on targeted NPCs.
After Hours Loot System
This add-on interfaces with in-game officer notes to track the Guild's loot system, which is explained here
EPGPLoot2
This add-on displays a popup when loot is being distributed and is required to 'Need' 'Pass' etc. Failure to have this addon installed will result in being unable to receive loot.
Mumble
Not an addon as such but is required to be used by all members to enable voice comms during raids
